New Mother’s Day Recipe ‘No Process Pesto’

Homemade Pesto Recipe *No Instruments Required*

Mother’s Day is this weekend and you may share my lack of preparation. Something quick yet unique is what I was looking for and I found it in this Pesto. I am a fan of as little Instruments as possible so I wanted to come up with something that anyone could do with the simplest of tools. As long as you have a knife (Note: a chopper is helpful) you can make this easy and delicious pesto. Basil is in its Harvest season, so Farmer’s Markets are selling it at very low prices. Package your pesto in an antique mason jar (Not: more pictures to come) and whether your mom likes pasta, or carbs in general, create a nice basket with some bread or pasta and satisfy that savory mom of yours.

Ingredients: (all ingredients chopped roughly)

2 Cups of Basil

2 Garlic Cloves

1 Cup of Romano Cheese (Grated)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (3-4 Tablespoons)

1 Handful of Walnuts

Dash of Salt

(Note: For Pesto Pasta pour pesto in a container, add one pat of butter and pour over your cooked pasta. Top this with fresh parsley and any meat or vegetable. The Pesto adds a delicious burst of flavors!)
